Online Music Lessons:

Beginning on Monday, April 6th, the music faculty will transition all private music lesson to an online format via Zoom. Lessons will continue to be a private, one-on-one lesson and will take place at the regular day and time. Students will access the lesson by downloading the Zoom application on their computer, phone, or tablet, then clicking the individualized link for their teacher below at or near the regular lesson time. That process should look something like this:

  1. Download the Zoom application.
  2. Set up your free account.
  3. Plan ahead. Set up your home lesson space so you can see and hear the teacher and so they can see and hear you.
  4. Click your instructor's link (below) a few minutes before your lesson time.
  5. Wait in the "waiting room" until the instructor adds you to the lesson.
  6. Have a great time and learn a lot.
  7. Leave the lesson, practice, and come back the next week.

We've been testing this tech for a couple weeks now, and although it's not as good as being there in person, it is an effective way to offer lessons online. With that said... I'm sure week one will be a little clunky as we adapt to this new way of teaching, but we expect this to be a good option until we can see you again in person -- hopefuly soon. = )

Instructor Links (click the link next to your instructor's name a few ninutes before your lesson time)

Note: Clicking the instructor's name below will place you in a virtual "waiting room" unti it is time for your lesson. Please make sure that your DISPLAY NAME in Zoom helps the instructor know who you are (and who the student is).
